Please could someone let me know what is on the top of the town hall clock. I received it as a birthday present today and there are two birds on the top. Should there be something in between the two birds? There is a small mark there which may imply that something should be there.

PLMK as cannot find any pictures to check this out.

Thanks in advance

There should be three birds on the top.

Thanks so much, don't know how I am going to tell my mum, it does not matter to me as I will never sell my items, but she was so pleased when she found it as it's quite rare to see it in the shops. It's missing the centre bird, looks like it must have come off at some point. It was securely packaged in its original packaging, so I would imagine that it was displayed like that and sold like that, maybe the shop did not realise. Do not know what to do now, she will be really upset. I know she bought it a couple of months ago somewhere, so not sure what she could do. Thanks for answering so promptly.

I think you're pretty lucky to find one at this stage, missing pigeon or not.

My advice would be to not mention it to your Mom at all.

My THC has been in it's box under the bed since I bought it - I just wish I had somewhere to display it.

When I collected my Town Hall Clock from my stockist, the right hand pigeon was missing. They were incredibly apologetic and said they would get it changed, but then we found the escaped bird in the box. A bit of a discount and a blob of glue when we got home and there was no longer a problem!

These birds are nearly as delicate as those spikes on the miniature town hall - I broke one of them off while dusting it!

maybe Harrops can make a spare pigeon especially for you and post it to you 'pigeon post' :D

Sorry that you have missing pigeons, but obviously if these are first-hand items, then these shouldn't have been sold to you in that condition. Remember, if you do discover a fault with a first-hand item, then please return them to your point of purchase. Obviously, this doesn't include second-hand items.

If you can let me know which pigeon is missing, I can see if we have any spares.
I can't promise anything though!

Just wanted to thank you Dan, you have made my mum so happy.

Someone jokingly suggested I receive one specially made by 'pigeon post' on a previous reply, well, it was not specially made, but I did receive a pigeon through the post!!!

Thanks so much, mum was so upset, it was still in it's box over there, she was even going to try and mould another one from one on the piece!

Will be going over there at the weekend with my precious pigeon and put it onto it's place, no-one will know any different!

Thanks again Dan, greatly appreciated.
