I love all the new pieces, the expression on Teachers face has been caught wonderfully!
The Front Cover piece is a must for me as it was the year I entered the world!
WELL DONE RHD ON ANOTHER SUCCESS!

Im glad you like them, and yes Danny and Plug do swing as they are on chains. But don't go too mad as they are ceramic!

Just placed my order at my local stockist for my beano, bagpuss & magic roundabout.

Love the look of the swing musical box not so keen on the front cover but then that is only my opnion and we don't all like the same things.

Just out of curiosity where do you get the ideas for some of the scenarios are they accutally scenes from the comics or somebodys ideas? I obviously know the front covers are from them.

The new Front Cover Piece is great, as the others were - definately some of my favourite pieces. Love that hedgehog! Teacher's expression is quite simply hilarious. Not sure about the music box yet, but with all the retirements this year I wont be short of figures to catch up on.

Got Dennis's Dad yesterday (was surprised it arrived so soon and before the free gift) Another great long-awaited piece from RH. Top stuff! Mine was number 15.

I think I like them all. Undecided about the front cover, mainly 'cause I'm not keen on Biffo, but I do like the fact it has bolder colours and will stand out well.

When I get the musical one I won't be playing the tune, it reminds me of a jack in the box I had as a kid and it freaked me out too much! Damn sacry clowns faces jumping out of boxes at a 4year old!!!

Thank you for your appreciation toward the design of our new Bash St limited edition musical box. This particular piece was designed from the ground up as a continuation to our previously successful homegrown “Roundabout Rascals” musical box.

We always strive to try and make our pieces as exciting or as involved as our resin medium allows. It has never been difficult to come up with new way or portraying all of our favourite characters and with the new musical box we realise we have created a real gem. The next Limited edition musical, box is already on the drawing board, but I’ll leave you guessing for now!!

‘We’ obviously appreciate that collectors have invested a lot of time and money over the years and as such we will continually strive to maintain a quality of design interpretation that we hope you will continue to enjoy. Prices have to reflect design, sculpt and production costs and we have always endeavoured where possible to keep these down. However, global oil prices have sent material costs soaring and resin being a by-product of oil means that unfortunately we have had to adjust some of our prices accordingly.

Yours sincerely

As long as the pieces are good (which they almost always are) I don't mind paying that little bit extra - especially with the quality of the figures.

Is there a reason why all the new Ltd Edition Beano/Dandy pieces are limited to 750? Are there less collectors now?

I personally don't mind paying for something I like, Harrops are a business and not a charity. I agree for some people they may be a luxury they can't afford but would it be boring to keep getting single figures at £15 a shot I love the direction in which Harrops are moving in the beano range esspecially if it means getting rid of those classic bases which i was never keen on.

neither do i, but i still have a soft spot for the standard single character pieces, especially new characters, and yes i am still waiting for two more classic based pieces namely Toots and Sydney to complete the Bash Street Kids lineup.

I am loving the front cover range, but i've had a look on the net, and a number of them are quite busy covers, and those which are not, and at least 70% have either Biffo or Korky on the front especially Korky for the Dandy till 80s.

Perhaps one of the really early covers with Eggo perhaps. There was one where they are playing leapfrog. Eggo was being leapfroged by a dog wearing a jumper with a 'K' (Kanine?) there are others in the picture but if it was just Eggo, Kanine, the little cat and bird it would be a brilliant piece.
Why is there only 750? I don't know, is that the number of members, or perhaps its wearyness. I don' think the Korky cover went very quickly

For the next musical box, keeping with the playground theme how about Minnie and Roger or Toots on a seesaw

I think that dog's name was Koko if I'm not mistakened.
