Is this the end of the Classic Collection then? If so that means we'll never have Toots and Sidney on Classic bases!

Can't believe the Pups are being retired so soon as well. I'm going to have to get the remaining ones quick.

Fortunately I only have the Pups to get. Hope it's not the end of the Classic Collection as they still have loads to do incuding Toots & Sydney as Alexander Lemming said above.

just a worrying thought.... there isn't many pieces left in the collection following the retirements... i hope RH are not planning to finish the Beano & Dandy collection.

I still want Toots and Sydney for the Classic range though, no need to worry about the other characters as long as they get included

I had a feeling Dennis, Gnasher, Dan and a few Bash St. Kids would be retired this year, as they're now avaliable in other collections and special pieces, but I didn't expect the whole lot to go. Even more surprising was the Pup Parade collection, which has only been out for a year! Thought they would keep them out for a while as they are very affordable pieces and make great gifts.

If this is the end of the Classic Collection does it mean we're going to get another series which remodels all the usual suspects? (Minnie, Dennis, Dan etc.) I was just getting used to getting some excellent new characters, such as General Jumbo and Grandpa too.

Never did like the bases perhaps with a bit of luck they are going to resurect the original BD & BDS range with the old style bases and packaging. Here's hoping :D

Hmmm...I always liked the Classic silver bases. Helped me explain to family members which pieces I wanted!

So you told your family you want the piece with the silver base. Well if they resurect the old BD style base you will be able to say the piece without the silver base. Wouldn't it be easier to tell them the code number for the piece you were after

You'd think, but saying "Fatty on the silver base" makes a lot more sense to them than the code.

I agree with poppy, much prefer anything than the classic base. They had a certain cheapness about them with that base, but with the other bases they were charachters rather than models striking a pose on a base, if that makes any sense.
