Popped into a gift store today (just wondered if they had any CG in stock) and I only found a handful on the shelf and the conversation went like this:
Me: Do you have anymore?
Shop Keeper: No ... but we can order them in
Me: Oh ok I was just looking ... seems a small collection you have
Shop Keeper: Well CG will only be around for another year so not much point holding anymore stock!!!!
I walked out and felt a tad sad! lol

An interesting comment by the shopkeeper, has somebody at RH been listening (taking note) of the recent comments on this forum?

Ooh, just noticed I've been promoted to member (as opposed to junior) status. This is my second time I've come of age (the first time on the old web site) If only real life revolved in the same way!!!!!!!!! Happy days, now I wonder if it's time for 'Watch with mother'?

We've just sadly lost our retailer they simply said they only had three collectors of RH and couldn't justify stocking it any more. I personally feel Ebay has done no one who's a true collector any good, creating a false market and when a quick buck can't be had any more moving on to reak havoc some where else. :( :(

but i do feel rh are also stinging them selves in the foot,by now selling
direct to members the latest pieces, thats not encouraging us into the
shops.why should shops show loyalty if rh can't show loyalty to them,
which goes back to my question titled"new year piece".

I am not sure which shop you went into and they said that, but it certainly didn't come from us. We are not stopping the collection at the end of this year or next for that matter :)

I think the shop not stocking any items isn't helping the cause either. You can't sell something you haven't got can you? As for spreading false rumours, that can't help them either!!

I've just seen the "new releases" and feel that apart from Murphy Christmas I can live without the rest. Apart from a couple more shop scenes and the fire engine I think we're almost done. It's been great while it lasted but every collection has its day.
Good night
