I really really really cant wait.... im looking forward to you producing "The Angels" probably a couple of years away yet tho.

Had an idea that you could do a Jo90 music box with Jo sitting in the chair while the bars on the sphere go round.. Also an idea for a Stingray Music box with [wait for it] Green circular lazer lights castin the rings on the wall or ceiling possibly moving about.? :D

I'll leave it to the pro's to think how it would all work, i just have the ideas :P

Are you mixing your Stingray with your Mysteron rings ?

Nice idea about the Mysteron lights but i feel it wouldn't be suitable, needing batteries for the light and all that.
The Joe90 Big Rat revolving should be a simple enough, albeit expensive, musical box to produce, an excellent idea. I have always thought the first CG musical box should have revolved, it's rather dull without the movement.

I only hope we get a good selection of characters from Capt Scarlet and not just the main cast.

No worries.....as an Anderson fan from Supercar through to Scarlet, I was worried I had missed something ;)

I've just picked up a 1968 Captain Scarlet Annual from an antique book shop in Haworth. It's full of pictures and schematics of all the Spectrum vehicles along with stories and info. Perfect for back drops for display cases etc ! Was there a connection between WASP and Spectrum? Might start collecting Stingray if so. Another question - Is there an on-line list or register of all current, LE and retired Robert Harrop figures?

Sorry for the scatter gun email

Steve

Was there a connection between WASP and Spectrum?

Trying to take my memory back a very long time but here goes...

Captain Scarlet was set 3 or 4 years ahead of Stingray, both in the 2060s I think.
Lieutenant Green (under his real name of Seymour Griffiths?) was a member of WASP (World Aquanaut Security Patrol), along with his brother. I believe his brother was killed in action and Seymour transferred to Marineville instead of 'active duty'. He was headhunted by Spectrum and became their communications expert Lieutenant Green.

As an aside, and total piece of trivia, I remember that Lieutenant Green was the first regular coloured character in an ATV series.

Was sure I had replied to this but I must have previewed the reply then abandoned it :o

Trying to get my mind back into the mists of time.....

Hopefully that's reasonably accurate :)

I'm not sure on a link between Captain Scarlet and Stingray, the puppets were different styles, so I'm not sure how that would work if they actually met each other!? I don't think it is mentioned in the series, but it's in the literature that Gordon Tracy was a member of WASP where he learnt his submarine skills before joining International Rescue. I think I put that in the insert?

We've got a list of Beano, Camberwick and Doggie People figurines in our downloads section: http://www.robertharrop.com/index.php?area=page&id=9
That reminds me that I've got to update it for the rest of the collections, I'm sure I said I would do that months ago, sorry!

In the meantime, if you email Becky at collectorsclub@robertharrop.com she can send you lists for the others.

Hi All

Thanks for all the replies. Have joined the archive and awaiting acceptance. The 40th anniversary editions? Are they all 40th anniversary editions? I haven't seen my collection for three years so can't remember what the box looks like ! Hopefully when I move house in 6 weeks and get my own display area I'll get them out from the loft.

Just in time for CS.

Excellent web site! The Thunderbird list is two figures short..... Namely Brains Richochet and Parker - new film tribute (pink trousers). LE 50 each. The other RH collections have now got me thinking about Judge Dredd! I don't think I've got a cat in hells chance of getting any of those figures not to mention the price!

Thanks

I can't believe you haven't heard of the Dark Side, the best archive of RHD current and past.
http://rhcollectors.proboards.com/index.cgi just register....the lady who hosts it is a bit of a tyrant so be careful what you say. ;)

The Stingray collection is gorgeous, equally as good as the Thunderbirds collection, even though it too is missing a few vital characters like Atlanta Shore and Agent x-2-0. And of course we are waiting for the mechanical fish to bite.

Tis a pity there is no way of re producing the theme song into a figurine somehow, the Stingray theme is among the most recognisable in British TV history....or maybe there is a way, over to you Matt. :)

We are serious about Anderson and realize that it is a niche property sort after by a largely knowledgeable collectorate who hopefully will add their own wish lists onto our existing programme. There is no reason why music cannot be integrated somehow into our figurines and of course Supermarionation theme tunes are as memorable as any.
As for the missing Stingray figures....in time they might very well surface from beneath the waves, though initially we will be introducing Captain Scarlet and continuing where we left off with the Thunderbirds.......Of course this means that we will be producing Grandma Tracy and Braman the Robot.......We also plan on releasing a second edition of just the Thunderbird pilots...not ltd...on different coloured bases to make sense of our Anderson figures at retail for without them anyone new would not be able to own a standard Scott Tracy..which would be ridiculous..However as I stated they all will have a one colour base finish to detract them from the original release.

Captain Black has just gone to approval and we are painting Firefly as I speak....well..... in the daytime that is;)

all the best MattB:)
