After the recent arrival of the Army Truck, printing press, flower show etc pieces my collection has outgrown its cabinet and some pieces are now on display in a window sill subject to bright sunlight.
Is there any chance of colours fading in the sun or are the RH figures made of stronger stuff?

Yes I beleive exposed to direct sunlight the bright colours will fade I certainly wouldn't leave them in the window cill.

I remember walking by a shop in Stratford upon Avon once that had a window facing into the sun, and being horrified by the colour of some of the older stock! I'd be very surprised if they managed to sell them!
And my friend has one piece, Windy on his tricycle, in her conservatory and I have noticed that looks decidedly paler than mine.
Move them immediately before we actually get any sun!!!!

The older figures used a different white paint than they do now, and will actually yellow.

Yes, direct sunlight for a length of time will damge the colours and the figurine. Please do not display them in sunlight for too long. Also be careful of condensation (if you don't have double glazing) If the figuirnes are sat in constant water the sticker and green felt bases will peel off.

I no this is a bit late, but im on a roll (see B&D Forum)
I had Danny off of the Bash Street Kids, and he was broken, i managed to get him on EBay, when he arrived he looked slightly pale, when the seller was quizzed she said hge had been facing direct sunlight, i got some money back for it though
So yeh, Sunlight = bad for these figures, but good for humans... talking of which, where'd it go?

Panic!
I've only got round to reading the replies. Thankfully I've checked my pieces and the UV rays don't seem to have wreaked havoc so far. Anyway it's off to buy a new (small-ish) cabinet very soon before the soldier boys turn as red as their tunics.
Oh nearly forgot thanks for the advice and I will act upon it - Brackett - bring me that lovely shopping catalogue you use.
