Well, I was having a bit of a spring-clean over the bank holiday weekend and...

...I dropped Harry Farthing (CG30).

I'd moved all the pieces off the shelves, and put them all back afterwards so carefully. He was the very last one. I picked him up, carried him to the shelf, lifted him up and he slipped out of my hand.
I swear, time slowed to a crawl as I watched him drop onto the wooden floor. He didn't just break, he shattered...

I am so upset. I just stood there shaking with shock. Although I've broken pieces before, I haven't broken one in a long time, and Harry is the first that isn't going to be easily replaceable. besides, he was one of the earliest pieces I bought, and I am particularly fond of. Lord knows how long I'll be waiting for one to pop up on e-Bay.

Seriously, I'm heartbroken. It's like a little bereavment...

http://www.collectablesltd.com/acatalog/Camberwick_Green_Retired.html

Here, at collectablesltd.com you can buy the first Harry CG30 at it's original retail price of £14.95.

I track a few of these sites, and I knew I'd seen him still available in a retired section on one of them.

All the best

Thanks for that, guys. I found the Collectables Ltd site the other day - I'll give 'em a ring.

Replaced pieces never seem to be quite as nice or have the same charm as your originals, though, do they?
