Introducing ‘Harrop’s Auctions’ our new Ebay Auction Store!

From Friday 23rd October we will be launching our very own online auction facility. We will offer live auctions on our new Ebay Auction Shop; Harrop’s Auctions, with a direct link also available from our main site www.robertharrop.com.

So what are we auctioning?
Well, right at the beginning of our creative process the first pieces we make are block white prototype pieces. These are the first figures to come out of the master mould, the same rubber mould that itself was formed from the original sculpted wax. These ‘white castings’ are the same size and specification of the polyurethane masters we use to produce the production moulds from and are therefore one ‘generation’ larger than the final production pieces that are sold on the high street or internet. These unique pieces are what many of you are already aware of as ‘Studio Painted Originals’ which were either used as a painting guide for production as indicated by the word ‘master’ written on the base or as an exhibition piece or photographic sample.
It is just these types of pieces that will make up the initial portfolio of the shops ever changing auction lots. The pieces will be of a wide and varied interest to many of you, either to those who just simply wish to watch as a source of entertainment or to those who have truly caught the bidding bug yourselves.
We will end the auctions on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with staggered end times on these varied days. This will not only spread out the excitement but will also enable last minute bidding strategies on all of our auctions. The auctions will be open to everybody worldwide, so ‘what is in it for our Collectors Club Members?’ you may ask......Well every winning bid placed by a Member of the Club will be discounted by 10%. To receive this discount we will ask the winner not to use the ‘Pay now’ button but rather wait for an adjusted bill less 10% of the final bid.
All winning auction lots will also have a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Robert Harrop himself, to give them a permanent catalogued history and protect the future worth of all your new investments.
