I'd take a guess that this is a fake, and a pretty bad one at that.

It looks like someone tried a copy, then used the wrong type of paint, and it would explain no box.

Either that for someone has been polishing to hard

I wondered if somebody had put like a clear varnish over them hense the shine. Or they have possibly been painted over with a goss paint either way they just don't ring true.

Defo fakes :( The blue is the wrong colour, and if you look closely at the bases you can see some black marks in the ceramic resin. They would have been rejected from our factory immediately. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

i dont know who the seller is trying to convince... but old collectors will see the difference, and new collectors certainly wouldnt buy them
