Just spotted this on the awful ebay. Just wanted to make sure it hadn't been missed as it does seem cheap. (No it is not mine, just thinking of you lot )
I've already got mine paid £10.00 at a boot fair for it!

Thanks very much but you should always read the description carefully it is damaged that is why it is going so cheap.
What is so awful about ebay great place for people to buy pieces to complete their collections and also a place for others to sell items they don't require. You don't have to bid if you don't want and I don't think there is any longer those inflated prices everybody use to moan about it is just an online auction site where you can get some pieces for less than rrp what is so awful about that???

Is that supposed to make us feel better, that pieces are now selling for less that what WE paid for them less than 2 years ago. I don't go near ebay anymore basically because i don't need to. Plus the fact that i paid 3 times the amount that the pieces are selling for now a few years ago. Remember poppy, alot of us a few years ago believed we had to pay the inflated prices for the pieces, especially with the musical box, christmas post, cuthbert c, walter, etc. So lucysmummy is allowed to view ebay as awful. I do.

I beleive your view is also the same as mine in the fact I don't care what I paid or pay now even as long as I am happy with what I get. So what if they have gone down in price to me it is a collection I love and hopefully will never have to sell so it.
I remember paying £480 for my plaque 3 years ago would probably get £200 for it now but I don't care at the time it was the going rate and I have bought many others at inflated prices I have also found the odd bargain as well.
If internet access wasn't so easy the prices would still be high so rather than pay rrp or less like we do now if you did miss out on a ltd ed you would pay through the nose for it like the bad old days.
I will also ask you Macca hopefully it will never happen but say things happened and you did have to sell your collection you would obviously want the best price you could get so you like me would use ebay as it would get the widest audience.

I have to agree entirely with Poppy. If you want something you pay for it. It's the way of the world.
Some people may remember the recession in late 80's early 90's. Nevermind losing a couple of hundred quid on a collectable piece...how about losing a few hundred thousand on your house! Strangely enough house prices are now dafter than daft. Wait a few years and your piece will be worth it even if its worth less than you paid at the moment. Each time you see a broken santas little helpers on ebay then you know there is one less available and yours becomes more valuable!!!
