Hi all!
No pictures I'm afraid as I'm not that naughty but I have seen all 8 new pieces in the flesh!
This year's music box is as suggested Windy Miller by his Well. It's a 40th anniversary piece as Camberwick Green began in 1966 and is a limited edition of 2000. Didn't hear it play but it looks fab!
Next was the Vegetable Show, with a fine selection of veg - oh yes, and Mr Clamp and The Mayor! (Ltd Ed 1000)
'Morning Tea' is another scene with Miss Lovelace and Mrs Cobbit enjoying tea in....... The Hat Shop!! (Ltd Ed 1000)
And just to spoil us there is a third scene - Cuthbert feeding the ducks!
And I suppose Willie Munn 'Calling For Help' with a nice red phone box is a fourth scene!
This Spring's vehicle is the Army Truck complete with all local military members ;-) A good size, and I overheard the price as £50ish.
Mr Mopp is indeed attempting to photograph the thrush with his lovely old fashioned camera.
And last but not least - Mr Munnings has a VERY impressive printing press!!!!
I'm sure the brochures will be here soon so you can all see them too - they are definitely something to look forward to!!

And the new ranges are as Marlinspike said across in the other thread.
Not a Stingray fan myself so didn't really look at them, but the Magic Roundabout pieces are very nice and Harrop have recreated Mr Benn and his various costumes rather beautifully!!

The CG pieces all sound fabulous. Looks like I'm going to have to put yet another shelf up.
I'm hoping to get to the trade show myself this week and see them first-hand, but I was wondering, when you overheard the price of the Army Truck, was it the trade price or the retail price ? As you know £50 trade equals £100 retail. Quite a diffence you'll agree.

Little birdie's understanding is that the retail costs are something like as follows:-
Army truck = £49.95
Mr.Munnings = £24.95
Hat Shop / Veg Show = £34.95 (1,000 pieces)
Wishing well music box = £49.95
Willie Munn = £24.95
Dr.Mopp = £17.50
Cuthbert = £19.95

A question for those lucky enough to attend the trade show...
Was there a Magic Roundabout music box amongst the new pieces?

I didn't study them hard but I don't recall any of the Magic Roundabout pieces looking like a music box, I think they were all characters. But I'm sure one won't be far away, it's somewhat obligatory I would have thought!

This all sounds great. Thanks for the info, WG. I guess my only slight disappointment is that Captain Scarlet didn't make the cut. But that's very slight. Maybe next time. The CG pieces sound superb.
WG, did you notice whether Roald Dahl and Clangers had any further additions to the line?

I think it's about time to let the CG range go to bed now. Doubtless the new figures are top quality, but the interest just doesn't seem to be there anymore.
Personally, having collected most figures over the last 5 or 6 years all I'm interested in now are new stand alone figures, which explains why I paid an arm and a leg for the foreman. Oh, I might go for the music boxes at a knock down price on e bay - I notice the Town Hall and Mickey's van don't seem to be shifting.

Lodgey - Sometimes I think you are right. But they won't do that while people are still collecting...

Hey Curious, I'm sorry there's no pics but they are quite strict on use of cameras at the show these days and I don't work for the paparazzi!!
Shall I try drawing them for you? ;) ;)
Ah, why am I apologising? I can sit here feeling smug while everyone else has to wait for the brochures.

Drawings would be nice - or at least detailed descriptions! :) :) :)
One question - is the Hat Shop "walled" like the other shop scenes??
It was the nice folks at RHD who should have provided pictures on the website - I have this urge to phone up my stockists and reserve them today, but I don't want to do that until I know what they look like.

No, it's not walled like the others. It's a table with hats on hat stands on it, and a nice tray of tea, with Mrs Cobbit and Miss Lovelace sitting around it.
Actually I can't draw so you wouldn't have much more of an idea if I did that!
I suppose the scenes are a bit like 'On Your Marks'. Willie Munn is outside the phone box so it's a bit bigger than it would be if he were in it.
Mr Munnings printing press coincidentally looks a bit like the one he uses in the programme ;)
Ummm....photographic memory struggling now....Mr Mopp is bending down to his camera and the thrush is sitting on the grass just in front of him.
Cuthbert is kneeling on the grass beside a large puddle (sorry, duckpond) - think 'fishing in the sun', water looks good with a group of cute little ducks in front of him.
The vegetable show is similar to the hat shop scene - a table laden with prize winning veg on the left with Mr Clamp behind it, and the Mayor on the right.
I'm slightly confused by how Harrop classify scenes though - most of them look like scenes this time but only the hat shop and vegetable show are limited edition. The only difference I can see is that 'scenes' have more than one character in them if they aren't a shop scene whereas the other pieces are characters just with something.
Oh I know that's not all of them but I'm off to get some dinner.....

Thanks Windy Girl!
I guess that means our chances of getting a walled Hat Shop are now near enough to zero to forget about :(
Here's hoping the Veg Show doesn't preclude us getting the Greengrocer's Shop in the near future. (Mr Carraway turned up on 2 successive scenarios a few years back - Maybe Mr Clamp can pull off the same trick this year? :) )
Harrop's call something a "scenario" if it has an "S" in the serial number and is a limited edition. The other pieces will have normal CG numbers and are just regular editions.
Looking forwards to Munning's Printing Press and the Army Truck! :D :D

I just got an email from an online stockist saying that they have listed all the "new for 2006" items on their site. As yet there are no pictures but they do list all the pieces and there are indeed new Clangers and Roald Dahl items.
Alas, Roald Dahl seems to be only the one piece. A limited edition (750) "Dream Catcher - The BFG"
Check out the lists here;

Any idea when the pics will be on the site??

The email said that the pics would be on the site "next week". I imagine they'll be on many sites by that time anyway. If not already.
