Ok.......Heres one for you all....?

I went to a retailers today, where they had "BDCS05 DANNY & SMIFFY "FOURTH DAY OF XMAS".

I was just about to purchase the little devil, when i noticed the lady was wrapping it up in normal tissue paper.
I asked her "If it came in its original box with a poly insert.....?
She replied...."We have some poly chips if you want us to put those in the box with the tissue. We have all our boxes as flat_packs !"

So i declined her offer.

My question is.....Should this figurine have its orignal poly-inserts or was it produced without and shopkeepers have to pack the little devils out, with tisssue paper/poly chips/old newspaper or what ever else they have handy ?

Hiya POPPY............Ive been buyin again....lol

Thanx Andy.

This piece should come with all the standard packaging - polystyrene, mini brochure and a little form to join the club.

Mine don't come flat packed, and normally my stockist would open the box with me to inspect the piece before i buy. However if the piece was on display it is most likely the stockist flat packed the box herself, and disposed of the polysterene to create more room.

Macca is right, there's one store that I occasionally purchase from that wraps up all figures in tissue paper and then puts it in the box with the brochures, so all you don't get with the piece is the polystyrene.

hi Andy,
only been collecting a short time myself, BE CAREFUL,
i have noticed a lack of boxes and sticker to bases and boxed,
before you bid on ebay dont be afraid to ask questions.

Cat food on toast?
is that brown or white bread then?
do 8 out of 10 people prefer white or what? :)

Hi Andy :) welcome to the forum :)

Macca, behave ;)

Some of the shops do flat pack our boxes :( However as long as you have the original box and the stickers are ok, then the figurine is still classed as perfect if you ever decide to sell them on.

Thank you Cinta.

So i wasted my time last night.
When i jumped over the wall behind their shop and spent 3 hours rummaging through the skip, tryin to find the right "poly inserts" for the box ?....... :D
