Next Tuesday (10th January) on BBC Radio 4 at 11.30am there is a half hour programme called "Here is a box, a musical box".

Here is the write up in Total TV Guide;

"Phill Jupitus presents this documentary about the classic Sixties children's animation, Camberwick Green, which includes interviews with the show's narrator, Brian Cant, and animator Bob Bura. It's now 40 years since the first episode aired and the seriespreceded the similar Trumpton and Chigley, which were also thought up by Camberwick's producer, Gordon Murray. But, in 1985, Gordon burnt the famous puppets in his back garden."

Should be a nice little show. Remember, if you can't listen to it when its on, the BBC website lets you listen to most of its radio output via the internet for about 1 week after broadcast.

Thanks for this I was going to post this news but you have saved me a job, hope it's a good one.

You would think the beeb would have done a programme on the telly about it though?

Anyone hear the Trumptonshire programme? Turns out that Mickey Murphy was originally called, in the post office song... Bertie Baker!

I was trying to listen to it at work yesterday morning and kept getting interrupted! It sounded good though so I called up 'listen again' and have burned it to CD so I can listen to it properly in peace and quiet at home. What I heard sounded good though. :) :) :)

DIdn't Brain Cant's voice sound old. sorry to say this in such a way, it was great to hear him retelling how he did the voices and songs, brought so many of my child hood memories back.
