Yeah, this place has been terribly quiet of late. Perhaps we've said all that can reasonably be said about our collections now? Or maybe we're just not as fanatical as we used to be now the novelty's worn off? Could it be that many of our members haven't found the new forum yet?

Hopefully things will pick up once the Spring '06 pieces are unveilled - not long now... :D :D :D

When are they released?

Well, in previous years RHD have exhibited at the SpringFair - usually the first 2 weeks in February. Piccies hit the website shortly thereafter, and the catalogue arrives around Valentine's Day.
The first wave of pieces are usually in the shops by early March, the second wave in April and the annual Ltd Ed (music box) in May.

The Spring Fair tradeshow is the 5-9 Feb and for all of us collectors lucky enough to have a reason to be there it used to mean we were the first to see new pieces. But don't I recall that last year, knowing this all too well, RH actually released the pictures prior to the Fair?

If that will be the case again this year, it looks like we have less than four weeks to wait for our first glimpses!

No one guessing what they will be this year?

What are the bets for what the music box will be this year?!!

I'm still thinking about it......

I spoke to Cinta before Xmas, and she seemed to suggest two things about the future of the range.

1. If RHD ever do make the remaining characters (council workers, etc) it will be as "special" pieces only (as the Foreman was), and not as regular issues.

2. It is highly unlikely that any Chigley characters will be modelled again.

Bearing this in mind, I'd say we were in for more re-sculpts of classic characters, hopefully with a theme, like the bees in the bakery pieces.

This makes it nigh on impossible to guess, so I will merely observe that Mickey Murphy, Peter Hazel and Mr Carraway are all overdue for a re-sculpt.

I would reasonably expect at least one vehicle. Farmer Bell seems a good guess, most probably on his tractor, as it is the most colourful of his machinery. If they follow the pattern, then the scenario will be an "outdoor" type rather than a "shop" type. Again, impossible to guess.

And as for the music box? Well, after the kerfuffle with recent MBs, I wouldn't be surprised if this year's annual piece wasn't a music box at all (the first 3 weren't). Then what? My guess - the Fire Engine, of course. :) They've kept us waiting long enough...
