Decided to tot up the number of RHD pieces my wife and I have... and I was, to put it mildly and politely, taken aback.

Total number of pieces:
Camberwick Green 137
Roald Dahl 26
Feathers 12
Clangers 11
Beano & Dandy 4
Grand total 190

The 200 isn't far off.

Has anyone here passed the 200 mark, and assuming so, I wonder what the largest collection is?

:o To date me and my husband have about 400-450 of the Doggie People/Country Companions Pieces, but these are mainly the older pieces as we have decided not to purchase all the new figures being released due to lack of space and also the pieces are far too big for our cabinets! We already have about 150 in the attic, so buying the pieces and putting them away is no longer an option!!

Wow, that must be one impressive collection... so you've stopped collecting alltogether or just sticking to the limited editions i.e. the Robin Wood / Christmas pieces

Hi Macca,

I only collected the bulldogs at first but when they became a little more difficult to find my husband (in his wisdom) decided to start collecting ALL THE OTHERS! but there are only a very small few moulds that we are looking for now so the collecting has tailed off, and to be quite honest since the pieces have become larger they do not hold the same sentiment as before, we still collect all the Christmas Pieces and anything other that takes our fancy, but if we do buy the bulldogs go in the cabinet and the others just go away in the attic. It seems a shame to do this.

:D Out of interest i had a count of my RH dogs and have now reached 280 pieces. This does not allow for 10 dogs i have that are unpainted that i have bought. It looks a lot now, but i know of at least one couple who when i spoke to them early in the year, had over 400! pieces (mainly dogs) :eek:

:p Doh! If i had read all the threads, then i would have seen it was you, before i made a bit of a plum of myself on here! You helped me out with the full list of the Puppy tails dogs earlier in the year. I noticed the full set of ten that went on e/bay last week, was sold for £181 i believe. Someone in my opinion got an absolute bargain! I agree with you about the older dogs having a bit more about them, although one or two of the later ones still catch my attention every now and then. :p
