Hello i am currently a 2nd year Business Management student studying at the University of Sheffield. For one of my modules this year i am studying the effect of collections in consumer culture.
One of the tasks i have to complete is to " Interview a collector and try and identify the process of collecting, and also the different rituals related to his/her collecting behaviour. "
If anyone is would be interested in taking part then i would appreciate it if you could contact me with a few details of your collection so that i could pose some appropriate questions.
Otherwise if anyone involved in collecting could post some answers to the general questions below i would greatly appreciate it.
1. For what reasons did you start collecting?
2. What are the main incentives of you to continue/expand your collection?
3. What do you believe are the personal benefits you gain from your collection?
4. Do you believe that your behaviour is influenced by your hobby of collecting and if so in what way?
