Hello everyone,
as a passionate Doggie People collector, I just found the following figurines from the Country Companions Collection on a flea market:
- CC15 Afghan Hound (1st Edition, yellow);
- CC43 Labrador (1st Edition, yellow, blue Rosette);
- Country Companion - West Highland Terrier (no serial number indicated on label)
- CC04 Border Collie (Shepherd);
- CC16a Poodle (French Lady);
- CC33 Golden Retriever (Golfer).
Unfortunately they were sold without their boxes.
I know that some are relatively rare (like the Afghan Hound, the Labrador or the West Highland Terrier) but can someone give me please some more information about (limited edition?, how many do exist?, value?).
Thank you for your help.
Olivier

None are limited, the yellow afghan is the most valuable, the 'tory' lab is a rare one too.
As for true value, who knows in this world of make believe!

I would put 'em on Ebay if i were you, then you may get near the current value of them. The Afghan and Labby should fetch a few coins!

Hi Olivier,
I am anxiously seeking an afghan hound doggie person. I must admit im not an avid doggie person collector nor am I looking to resell. I am a genuine afghan hound figurine collector as I have just gotten two afghan puppies and am really in to them and things to do with them.
I saw a figurine like yours on Ebay and fell in love with its whimsy but missed out due to the time difference (Australia - England).
You just cant find any over here so I was wondering if you were considering selling yours.
If you were please email me or if you know of anyone else with one they want to sell.
Thanks for your time
Tiffany

Carla dont want to disagree with you (but have to i am afraid) but if you put the Tory Lab on e-bay with the Afghan trust me it will make much more!
Ask the avid collectors on here :o

Ebay is a fickle being, a world of unloved figurines wanting a better home, a universal roundabout of collectors and their playthings. Ah fickle Ebay how i love thee!
As for the Tory Lab, i havent had one for about five years so you could be correct.

Hi baz411.
You are correct about the Tory Labrador, I brought the last one on ebay a few months ago and had to pay GBP114.00.
The hard part now will be finding the others to go with him.
He is now happy with all the other Robert Harrop Labradors, enjoying the warm weather in Australia.
You haven't had any Labs to sell me recently.

Out of the collection of politicians we produced, the 2 Politicians who are the most rare were the yellow and the green rosettes. the Red and the Blue seemed to be on a par to be honest.
However the most prized posession in that group would have to be the Labrador Show Judge Black. He is definitely the hardest to find.

Hi baz411,
If he went for a good price there will be others that come up.
Have you lost me e-mail address???.
The time difference between the UK and Australia makes it a bit hard, Remember you are 11 hours behind us, not saying that makes you guys slow!!
Hear from you soon.
Best Regards
