Ive just spotted that in the first magnum opus pictures the dennis bust was white/cream! http://content.blackcountry.com/harropartman/publish/article_11.shtml
edwards china are also using this picture on their site.
Was that the original design which was changed to the grey effect?(http://content.blackcountry.com/harrop/magop01.html)
I prefer it for some reason

also just found a link to the old harrop site :) (http://content.blackcountry.com/harrop_old)

Steve why didn't you add this as a question I would have been looking for years.
Which was the oldest? I have the grey type the same as Dan

I only noticed the white version yesterday while browsing on the internet, but seemed to remember seeing it before (id always thought when i bought my grey dennis one.. that there was something off).
I guess they changed the colour before it was originally released to the grey. If not i guess we'll both be tracking down a white version to go with our grey ones! :D

I had a reply off edwards china saying although the picture on their website is white.. theyve never had a white piece
Guess it was a colour change before production,
wonder what happened to the piece in the picture? ;)

well, considering the magnum opi are made from granite (dan) and something else, and they way a ton, £45 is a bargain. They are weather resistent (apparently) also.

Was it granite? I thought it was a resin?
Im sure the booklet said when they were released "perfect for your patio or garden" NEVER! They belong in a warm house with the rest.
