has anyone seen the camberwick green print on ebay 6209504945. they were available on the event day for 10 quid as i got one. who in their right mind would want to pay the "pay it now" price of 85 quid.
i feel there are people out there trying to take advantage of new collectors.

so my advice to anyone who is new to RH and CG then look at the forum and ask anyone here, as i'm sure no-one would object to giving a little advice

Is that the one with the first few characters released?

Yes it is.

It was the "special, buy it here only" event piece for the 2001 event.

(There were some left over, so some othersof us were able to buy one too)

cinta,
is there nothing that can be done to stop people selling these event peices on ebay. i feel so strongly about this, its so unfair. the whole purpose of going to an event (well this is my opinion) and getting a special peice and being a member is to have the opportunity of adding to your collection and having that feeling that you have something special.
i have followed this forum for quiet some time now and i feel part of a "family" with the RH and CG and love reading all the threads people leave.
sorry to have a moan guys but things like this just really wind me up.

Yes Babywindy people do get the event pieces and sell them straight away, but say you got stuck ( I hope it never happens ) and your only way out of it was to sell your CG pieces would you not sell your collectors event pieces would you throw them away because it may be something somebody is buying they never went to, these were from the 2001 event they have probably already changed hands more than once in the last 4 years.

I came in to colecting RH pieces only 3 years ago and was very grateful for ebay as it gave me an chance to obtain the pieces I may never have got any other way and would probably have lost interest trying to track them down, some people just can't make the events for different reasons so they get the pieces any which way they can I know sometimes at a premium but you are not forced to bid.

I found myself in an unthinkable position a couple of years ago and I sold off a lot of my collection. (And if I don't find a job soon, I may sell off the rest) :(

I am a long time collector, been on the forums for years... I didn't do it for greed, I did it because we were strapped. Like Poppy says, you never know what will happen. Just be glad that if push comes to shove, you have something you can sell and dig yourself out of a hole. :(

I am now eternally grateful that these figurines fetch such a great price on the secondary market. I needed it I can tell you....
