From this week's media Guardian:

'Windy Miller, one of the characters from classic children's show Camberwick Green, is making a comeback nearly 40 years after his first TV appearance to advertise the benefits of eating porridge.'

Apparently, Windy's going to be eyeing up voluptuous puppet barmaids in an advertisement, backed by the suggestion that he's 'sowing his wild oats'.

The advertiser: Quaker. The question: Good clean fun, or just plain wrong?

The nation wants to know.

I always suspected there was more to Windy than we were being told. The cider drinking suggested a man who liked to indulge himself from time to time.

What a time for the phone to ring. I was trying to watch it and listen to my mother talking, but failed. I'll have to try again tonight.

Yeah, I saw two of them last night - the one with Molly from The Feathers, then the one with the Jogger.

They were all right, I suppose - not as bad as they could have been. Good to see Windy on TV again though!

I saw the one where he gets driven off by a woman in a car. Not a bad advert.. thought it would be more suggestive though, with a little wink at the end.

My mom thought windy was female until he pulled that woman!

Makes you wonder how much effect it's having on the prices being achieved for the complete collection dvd boxset.
I know it's been deleted but even so......put 6434383024 into the eBay search box and witness probably the record ebay price paid for it to date.

Gordon would probably be miffed he wasn't getting a cut but with a large Pepsico chq in his back pocket I don't reckon he'll be that bothered now !

I've now seen both "Molly" and "the jogger". I love "the jogger" in particular. Does anyone know how many different ones there are going to be?

So far, only those two, unless anyone lives in a remote ITV region that's showing a third.

Adverts are wierd things - some a shown ad infinitum ('scuse the pun) until you're sick of them, other you see once and never see again.

Wonder what the chances are of RHD releasing Molly and the Jogger as future collector's club pieces? (Yeah, I know, two hope's and Bob's dead...)
