What about Mini Dennis and Gnasher there is only one mini dennis and gnasher but there is 2 different base stickers for them BDMO1 the piece released ny Robert Harrop for the collectors or BCCP01 which was also made by Robert Harrop but for the the beano collectors club piece. Is this what you wanted to know or is it something to do with the BTW you wrote in the message?

no, i ment prices for the figure, didnt realise there was two, i was reffereing to BDM01

They go for around £10 at the moment I think it is a great little piece with good detail, as I first said not 2 pieces just different base labels as has the Yo yo which is either BDCP01 same as the collectors plaque or BDS05 again same piece different base labels.

Did you also know BD09 Smiffy was remodelled as well? Basically the original has a very small base like Beryl and Plug he also has thinner nobbley Knees funny shaped shoes but then a little later for some reason it was changed he has fatter legs and a lot larger base until you put the 2 together you wouldn't take a lot of notice but there is a big differance. There is probably more changes to other pieces but as yet never seen or heard of them except for some reason my BDB01 Big Dennis has his nose painted red never seen that before either.

Have to have a look for that smiffy :) .. ive noticed some of the colours are slightly darker on the later pieces but that smiffy sounds pretty interesting.

Maby, the artist was not as cold, cos they turned the heating up so he decided not to take it out on Dennis by not giving him a red nose??

Ive just spotted this beryl the peril figure.. its base seems thicker than my one. Mine isnt a first edition.

Maybe the first editions had thicker bases?

Base thickness did vary especially on 1st edition pieces the older the piece the more they varied wheather it was just the moulding was not as presice I don't know. If I had any doubles I always kept the one with the thicker base.

It was not down to the moulding but the finishing that varied (slightly)

You are quite safe at the moment Cinta. But I must admit it would be a labour of love and they would have to keep all those number 1 ltd edtion pieces and prototype pieces under lock and key as they would be displayed at my house. ;)
