Recent unpainted 1986 dog figures on e/bay

:confused: I have recently (at a very good price i believe) acquired 7 different 1986 dog figures of e/bay that have not been painted! I have actually only ever seen 2 of them for sale that were the finished article (Billy the Bulldog being one of them, and a little female pug holding her dolly) I have no intention of selling them as i am a collector myself, but would like to know if anyone at RH (or whoever) could give me some more of their history, and why they were apparently "abandoned" in this condition in the first place. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :confused:

Hope this helps, this is a list of the collection you have mentioned, I am led to believe that the painting was originally out-sourced to another company, when this company ran down there were only a number of each piece that remained un-painted, hence, this is why they have now become available on e-bay. I myself have a painted Billy Bulldog and also a white ware (which I also purchased off e-bay). They are only worth what people are prepared to pay!

:) Many thanks for the list of names you supplied, in regards to the unpainted 1986 dogs i recently acquired. You are correct in what you say about what they are worth, but that is not my interest here. If you know who painted the originals, could you please point him in my direction, as i might have a little painting job for him to finish off! :D
